The Bio of Chad Mc Cord

Chad McCord is an award- winning actor, acting coach, director, dialogue coach and casting director based in Los Angeles. He has over 20 years of experience working in the entertainment industry.

Chad began his studies in Ashland Oregon – renowned for their Shakespeare Festival and then received his degree from the University of Oregon. He continued his studies in Hollywood at the Los Angeles Film School and The Academy of Converging Arts, where he specialized in multi-camera directing. He served as Co-Artistic Director of the Golden State Theater Co., where he co-wrote, co-produced and directed numerous productions. He then taught for many years at a prestigious Los Angeles-based acting school. As a well-respected instructor and private coach of comedy, drama and stand up, Chad has worked on many high-profile films and coached many series regulars, guests’ stars and co-stars both on and off set.

His directorial projects include the ½ Comedy WILDLIFE – starring Jonathan Bennett (MEAN GIRLS) and the multi-camera series THE MEAN BEAN. His directorial film credits include FEAR OF FEATHERS – starring Johann Urb (EASTWICK) Todd Babcock (GREY’S ANATOMY), executive producer Llew Well; the reality television pilots DRAMA KINGS and JURY DUTY (currently airing) and FLAVOR. He spent three months working in China on the film DOA (starring Eric Roberts, Devon Aoki and Jaime Pressly) as the dialogue coach.  His Los Angeles theater directing credits include A CHARMED LIFE (finalist in The Actoberfest series) and TWO ROOMS by Lee Blessing.
